Litigation Counsel - LegalAI

Worldwide | Remote | Part-Time / Advisory / Project-Based

Role Description

LUNARTECH is seeking a Litigation Counsel - LegalAI to support the development of one of the company’s most ambitious frontier AI initiatives: a legal AI platform designed to assist with litigation workflows, legal research, evidence organization, case analysis, document intelligence, and human rights-oriented legal processes.

This is a remote, worldwide role for a litigation-focused legal professional who wants to work at the intersection of law, artificial intelligence, product development, and real-world legal systems. The role involves collaborating with AI engineers, software engineers, product counsel, paralegals, litigation teams, and senior leadership to help design, evaluate, and improve legal AI systems for high-impact legal use cases.

The ideal candidate understands litigation practice, legal reasoning, legal drafting, procedural requirements, evidence review, case preparation, and the practical realities of legal workflows. You will help translate legal knowledge into structured product requirements, review legal AI outputs, support the design of legal reasoning workflows, and help ensure that the platform reflects real-world litigation needs.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting the design and development of LegalAI workflows for litigation, legal research, case preparation, and document analysis.
  • Advising on litigation procedures, legal reasoning patterns, evidentiary standards, and practical legal workflows.
  • Helping structure legal datasets, case timelines, claim frameworks, legal issue maps, and evidence review processes.
  • Reviewing and evaluating AI-generated legal summaries, arguments, timelines, legal research outputs, and document classifications.
  • Collaborating with AI engineers and product teams to translate legal requirements into product features.
  • Assisting with the creation of legal playbooks, templates, checklists, review frameworks, and internal legal quality standards.
  • Supporting use cases involving commercial litigation, civil claims, human rights complaints, regulatory matters, and cross-border legal processes.
  • Helping identify risks, limitations, and appropriate safeguards for legal AI systems.
  • Participating in product reviews, testing cycles, feedback sessions, and legal workflow validation.
  • Contributing to the development of a secure, scalable, and practical LegalAI platform for real-world legal users.

Company Description

LUNARTECH is a frontier deep-tech company focused on artificial intelligence across education, healthcare, aerospace, legal technology, and other high-impact sectors. Recognized by publications including Forbes, Entrepreneur, Insider, and Benzinga, the company has built an international presence with operations across North America and Europe and a team working across multiple countries and disciplines.

Through more than 77 specialized AI programs, collaborations with the world’s largest open-source educational nonprofit, and engagement with over 1 million professionals across 144+ countries, LUNARTECH has established a global platform at the intersection of AI education, applied systems, and company building.

The firm is defined by execution. LUNARTECH has engineered solutions and partnered with industry-leading companies operating in healthcare, aerospace, UAVs, engines, cybersecurity, clean energy, robotics, world models, and other frontier initiatives. Through LUNARTECH Labs, the company delivers end-to-end AI and data solutions, from data infrastructure and model development to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

LUNARTECH is also developing Phoenix, its proprietary AI-powered productivity and automation platform with more than 300 AI agents supporting research, analysis, operations, and workflow execution at scale.

At its core, LUNARTECH is built on a clear principle: advanced technology matters only when it creates practical advantage. The company’s mission is to turn frontier AI into secure, scalable, and operational capability, enabling organizations to move with greater speed, sharper insight, and stronger strategic control.

Qualifications

Strong candidates may have:

  • Legal education, legal training, or professional experience in litigation, legal research, dispute resolution, or court-facing legal work.
  • Experience with civil litigation, commercial litigation, human rights law, regulatory matters, or cross-border legal processes.
  • Strong legal research, legal writing, and analytical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to review complex documents and identify legally relevant facts, timelines, risks, and claims.
  • Familiarity with litigation workflows, pleadings, motions, evidence review, case preparation, legal memos, and procedural requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with lawyers, engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Interest in artificial intelligence, legal technology, automation, and applied legal systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and professional judgment.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-execution environment.
  • Bar admission or legal practice qualification is preferred but not required for all project tracks.
  • Experience with ECHR, human rights complaints, international law, or public-interest litigation is a strong plus.
  • Experience with legal operations, legal product design, or AI-assisted legal research tools is also a plus.

Candidate Profile

This role is especially suitable for someone who is:

  • A litigation lawyer, legal counsel, legal researcher, law graduate, or advanced legal professional.
  • Interested in building the future of legal AI rather than only using existing tools.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and turning complex legal workflows into structured systems.
  • Excited to collaborate with AI engineers and product teams.
  • Serious about confidentiality, legal accuracy, and responsible AI deployment.
  • Motivated by high-impact work at the intersection of law, technology, and global systems.
